POLICE have warned residents to be 'extra vigilant' after cutting-edge technology was stolen from a farm near Northwich.

Officers issued the advice after a satellite guidance system for tractors, which ensures high accuracy and low waste when planting and fertilising crops, was taken.

While police say they are 'staying open-minded’ about the culprits, they have previously dealt with what they called  ‘a team of males from a European organised crime group’.
